Dozer does not know a fire is coming
In February 2019, a tiny spark in a Pigeon Valley paddock grew into a major fire. Families in the surrounding area were told to evacuate.
While his family is busy packing, Dozer is doing what Dozer always does: stalking, pouncing, washing and sleeping.
When he wakes, his family is gone. Smoke and ash have changed the world he knows, and Dozer must find a way through a frightening landscape.
Inspired by the true story of a cat who survived the fire, Dozer the Fire Cat is a story about bravery, separation, survival and reunion.
